Hello John

Well, having finally played Golspie I can honestly say it far exceeded


expectations, and my expectations were high anyway.

First of all we got a great welcome from Jeanette in the shop who told


all about the course, then upstairs we met Pat Till who presented us


some of her own cards which are lovely. We had coffee and then made our


out to the first tee and what a super day we got. I'm so glad we did


attempt to come last year. We wanted to see Golspie at it's best and we

certainly did that. Not a breath of wind and not a cloud in the sky -



I think it was telling that later that evening as we went over the

course in

conversation it was very easy to remember. The course is so diverse and

interesting and I thought the short holes in particular were excellent.

We had some good chat with some of your members when we finished.

A new course record of 65 strokes was set by Jorg Paulus on the 8 August playing on the Golspie Open. This is a new record on the current upgraded course layout
